Refund & Cancellation Policy

Strattegee: Insurgency | play.strattegee.com
Effective date: 20/08/2026

1. About This Policy

Strattegee: Insurgency at play.strattegee.com is operated by Strattegee Pty Ltd (ABN 74 667 291 965) of 1330 Malvern Road, Malvern VIC 3144.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to Premium subscriptions for Strattegee: Insurgency at play.strattegee.com ("Strattegee", "we", "us" or "our"). It explains when subscription payments may be refunded, how cancellations work, and how to contact us about billing issues.

By purchasing a Premium subscription, you also agree to the Strattegee Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this policy and a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited, the applicable consumer law will prevail.

Unless another product or service expressly states otherwise, this policy applies only to Premium subscriptions. Tournament entry fees, physical products, merchandise and other purchases may be subject to separate refund terms.

2. 14-Day Refund Guarantee for New Premium Subscribers

If you purchase Premium for the first time and decide it is not right for you, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your first Premium payment. No reason is required.

This voluntary 14-day guarantee applies to a customer's first-ever Premium subscription and is not renewed each time a subscription renews, is cancelled and restarted, or a new account is created. We may refuse repeated attempts to obtain first-time refunds through multiple accounts where we reasonably believe the guarantee is being abused. This does not affect any statutory rights that apply to you.

If your first Premium payment is refunded in full, access to Premium features associated with that payment will end when the refund is processed.

3. Automatic Renewal Charges

Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Except as set out below or where required by law, renewal charges are generally non-refundable once a new billing period has begun.

We will provide a refund for an automatic renewal charge where:

  • you were charged because of a billing error on our part, including a duplicate charge or a charge made after a cancellation had already taken effect;
  • for a monthly subscription, you contact us within 48 hours after the renewal charge and request an accidental-renewal refund;
  • for an annual subscription, if annual billing is offered, you contact us within 7 calendar days after the renewal charge and request an accidental-renewal refund; or
  • applicable law gives you a right to a refund, cancellation or other remedy in your circumstances.

Where we refund a renewal charge in full, Premium access for the refunded renewal period will end when the refund is processed.

4. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel your Premium subscription through your Account settings. If the cancellation function is temporarily unavailable, contact us at info@strattegee.com and we will assist you.

Cancelling stops future automatic renewals. Unless a refund applies under this policy or applicable law, cancellation does not refund the billing period that has already been paid for. You will normally keep Premium access until the end of that paid billing period.

To avoid another renewal charge, cancel before your next renewal date. Your account or payment screen should show your current billing period and next renewal date.

5. Billing Errors and Service Problems

If we charge you incorrectly, including by charging you twice or charging you after an effective cancellation, contact us and we will correct the error and refund any amount that should not have been charged.

If Premium is materially unavailable because of a problem with the Strattegee service, we will provide any remedy required by applicable consumer law. In other circumstances, we may also provide an extension of Premium access, an account credit, a partial refund, a full refund or another reasonable remedy depending on the nature and duration of the disruption.

Short periods of planned maintenance, routine updates, internet or device problems outside our reasonable control, or interruptions that do not materially affect the service will not normally result in a refund unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or report a billing problem, email info@strattegee.com and include:

  • the email address associated with your Strattegee account;
  • the approximate date and amount of the charge; and
  • a brief description of the issue. No explanation is required for a valid first-time 14-day refund request.

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Where a refund is approved, we will initiate it through our payment provider to the original payment method wherever possible.

After a refund is initiated, card refunds typically take approximately 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, although the timing can vary depending on your bank, card issuer and payment method.

7. When Premium Access Ends After a Refund

If a payment is refunded in full, Premium access associated with the refunded payment may end as soon as the refund is processed. If only part of a payment is refunded, we will tell you whether and how the refund affects the remaining Premium period.

Ending Premium access does not delete your Strattegee account unless the Terms of Service separately provide for account closure.

8. Your Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, refund right, cancellation right, cooling-off right or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited in your applicable jurisdiction.

For Australian consumers, this includes any rights and remedies that apply under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumers in other jurisdictions may have additional mandatory rights under local law.

Where applicable law gives you a greater right than this policy, we will honour the applicable legal right.

9. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first where practical. We can often resolve billing issues more quickly through our support process than through a payment dispute.

If a Premium payment is disputed, reversed or charged back, we may temporarily suspend or remove Premium access associated with that payment while the payment status is unresolved. We may restore access if the dispute is resolved in our favour or if the payment is otherwise successfully completed.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have to dispute a transaction with your bank, card issuer or payment provider, or any right available to you under applicable law.

10. Other Purchases and Promotions

From time to time, Strattegee may offer other paid products, tournament entry, promotional subscriptions, discounted plans or trial periods. Additional or different refund and cancellation terms may apply to those offers. Where they do, the applicable terms will be shown before you complete the purchase.

Any promotional condition or special offer is subject to statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to Premium, our billing processes or applicable law. The current version will be published at a clearly accessible location on the Strattegee website with its effective date.

Changes will not remove or reduce any statutory right that has already arisen in relation to a payment, and we will not use a later version of this policy to retrospectively make an earlier refund entitlement less favourable.
