Terms of Service

Strattegee: Insurgency | play.strattegee.com
Effective date: 20/08/2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

Strattegee: Insurgency at play.strattegee.com is operated by Strattegee Pty Ltd (ABN 74 667 291 965) of 1330 Malvern Road, Malvern VIC 3144 ("Strattegee", "we", "us" or "our").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Strattegee. By creating an account, playing as a guest, or purchasing a Premium subscription, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and (if you purchase Premium) our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Strattegee.

2. About the Service

Strattegee is an online turn-based strategy game. Some features are available to every player free of charge (including as a guest, without an account). Other features require a registered account, and some require a paid Premium subscription - see section 5.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or play Strattegee. If you are under 18, you may only purchase a Premium subscription with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any charges incurred.

By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide (including your email address) is accurate and that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at info@strattegee.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You may play as a guest without an account, but guest games and progress are not saved to a persistent profile and guest access cannot be used to purchase Premium.

5. Premium Subscription & Billing

5.1 What Premium Includes

A Premium subscription currently unlocks:

  • Running more than one Async (correspondence-style) game at a time;
  • Creating and hosting Tournaments;
  • Creating a Community (joining an existing Community is free for everyone).
This list may change as new features ship - check the Premium section of your Profile page for the current, definitive list of what's included at any given time.

5.2 Pricing & Billing

Premium is billed in advance on a recurring basis, either monthly or annually, at the price shown to you before you complete checkout. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel - see section 6 and our Refund & Cancellation Policy for exactly how cancellation and refunds work.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number - see our Privacy Policy for more on how payment information is handled.

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your Profile page, through Stripe's self-service Billing Portal - it takes the same number of steps as it did to subscribe. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details, including the 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time Premium subscribers.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change Premium pricing for future billing periods. If we do, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will only apply to your subscription once you have had a reasonable opportunity to cancel before it renews at the new price.

6. Refunds

Refunds and cancellation rights for Premium subscriptions are set out in full in our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantee or other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

7. Communities, Tournaments & User Content

Premium subscribers can create Communities and Tournaments; anyone with an account can join one. As the creator ("Owner") of a Community or Tournament, you're responsible for moderating it reasonably and in line with section 8 below.

"User Content" means anything you submit through Strattegee - including a Community's name and description, messages sent in Community chat, your display name, bio and avatar. You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a licence to host, display and transmit it as needed to operate the service.

We may remove User Content, or suspend or remove access to a Community, Tournament or account, if we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms - see sections 8 and 11.

8. Acceptable Use

When using Strattegee, you must not:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other players;
  • Post content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit;
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised automation (bots, scripts) to play on your behalf;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of Strattegee's systems or another player's account;
  • Use Strattegee for any commercial purpose we haven't agreed to in writing.

9. Privacy

Our separate Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and store it, and your rights in relation to it. It forms part of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

Strattegee's game design, software, graphics, audio and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. Using Strattegee does not give you any ownership rights in it, beyond the limited right to use it as these Terms allow.

11. Termination

You may stop using Strattegee and close your account at any time by contacting info@strattegee.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, without affecting any refund rights you already have under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

12. Disclaimers

Strattegee is provided "as is". While we work to keep it available and reliable, we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties other than the consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim relating to Strattegee is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Subject to any right you have to bring a claim in your own state or territory under the Australian Consumer Law, disputes relating to these Terms are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

15. Fair Dealing With Subscriptions

We design Premium's checkout and cancellation to be clear and straightforward: the price is shown before you pay, and cancelling takes the same effort as subscribing, through Stripe's self-service Billing Portal. This reflects both current good practice and Australia's Competition and Consumer Amendment (Unfair Trading Practices) Act, which takes effect from 1 July 2027.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date; continuing to use Strattegee after an update takes effect means you accept the changes. If a change materially reduces your rights, we'll give you reasonable notice first.
